2012 - Race 8 - Grand Prix of Europe

The European Grand Prix once again returns to Valencia (Spain) in 2011.

The street circuit has held the event since 2008, helped in part to the popularity of Fernando Alonso who ironically has never won the event.

In previous years the European Grand Prix has been hosted by Nurburgring 1984, 1995, 1996, 1999-2007 (Germany), Jerez 1997 (Spain), Donnington 1993 (Britain) and Brands Hatch 1983, 1985 (Britain).

The European Grand Prix has been won by three different drivers since moving to Valencia.

Felipe Massa, Rubens Barrichello and Sebastian Vettel (who has won back to back races) have all been victorious in Valencia.
