Following the announcement that Sauber had opted for a new look line-up in 2015, they have also announced a new test and reserve driver.

Both Esteban GutiƩrrez and Adrian Sutil were released following the 2014 Formula One World Championship and it looks like test driver Giedo van der Garde will also be leaving the team.

GutiƩrrez has since gone on to secure a seat with Ferrari as their reserve driver, while Sutil has not found a drive for 2015 to-date.

Former Caterham driver Marcus Ericsson and GP2 driver Felipe Nasr, will race for Sauber next season.

20-year-old Italian Raffaele Marciello, part of Ferrari?s Driver Academy, has been appointed Sauber’s test and reserve driver for next season.

Marciello took a race victory in GP2 last year and testing for Ferrari in Abu Dhabi.

As well as joining Sauber he will continue to race in GP2 with Racing Engineering.

?We are pleased to announce Raffaele Marciello as our test and reserve driver for the 2015 season,’ said Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn.

‘He proved his great talent in junior formulas, and his season in the European Formula 3 Championship with 13 wins and the title victory was particularly impressive.

‘We will give Raffaele the opportunity to become familiar with Formula 1, which also includes him taking part in some free practice sessions on Friday. It?s great for our team to be part of his way to Formula 1.?
