Fernando Alonso has been cleared to race in the upcoming United States Grand Prix despite a back injury.

The former two-time Formula One World Champion suffered the injury after launching off of the curbs on the exit of the pit-lane as he raced side-by-side with Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne.
