After a weekend of worry, Bernie Ecclestone’s mother-in-law was rescued following her kidnapping.
67-year-old Aparecida Schunck, who is the mother of Ecclestone’s third wife Fabiana Flosi, was kidnapped from the Interlagos area on Friday, with Brazilian magazine Veja claiming that kidnappers wanted 120 million Brazilian Reals as ransom according to motorsport.com.
That fee equated to $36.5million US, the largest ransom sum in Brazilian history.
On Sunday she was found on the outskirts of Sao Paulo.
According to local police, no ransom money was paid and she was found via a special anti-kidnap squad.
Three men have since been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, including pilot Jorge Eurico da Silva Faria.
