It is looking increasing likely that the scheduled test at Bahrain has indeed been cancelled.

The BBC 5Live F1 Team’s twitter along with Sky Sports Live page both have received unconfirmed reports that the teams have agreed not to travel for the test which was scheduled for March 3rd.

It is probably likely that the teams will remain in Barcelona for further test days.

An official announcement will not be made until at least 4pm, when all the teams will hold a meeting following today’s testing in Barcelona.

There has been no word yet on the race itself.

The BBC have reported that crunch talks between Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa Bahrain’s crown prince are set to be held today.

The apparent decision regarding testing could be the first indication that the race is unlikely to go ahead next month.
