Lewis Hamilton has been in a class of his own at times during the 2015 Formula One World Championship.
Last season the title battle was not decided until the final race of the season, this year it has been all wrapped up with three races to spare.
With 75 points available, Hamilton holds a 76 point lead over Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and 80 points over Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.
With Kimi Raikkonen a further 124 points adrift the battle for the runners-up spot is a head-to-head between the two German’s.
Rosberg may have the dominant car, as proven by his now triple world champion team-mate, but he is 4 points behind Vettel, with both of them standing on the top step of the podium three times this season.
Vettel aims to keep hold of his second place in the championship, by beating Rosberg in Mexico.
‘For sure, second place is the target. First, unfortunately, is out of reach and second is better than third, so we’ll try to go for second,’ Vettel told Sky Sports.
‘I want to beat Nico, that’s the primary target that I have.’
‘The track looks very interesting, especially the fact that the altitude is playing a big role, Looking a the downforce levels of the cars and the drag levels, it should be an interesting experience.
‘I’m looking forward to getting out and feeling the track for the first time.’
