The Caterham Formula One team are aiming to return to the sport for the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
The team fell into administration last month and missed last weekends United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
They will remain absent this weekend in Brazil, however the administrator in charge of trying to find new investment for the team remains hopeful that they will return to the grid before the end of the 2014 Formula One World Championship.
‘We are still hopeful we will be racing in Abu Dhabi, There are a number of parties involved, but because the financial commitments are so huge it is difficult for people to commit.’ said Caterham administrator Finbarr O’Connell to Sky Sports.
‘But I’m hoping when the sport is in Abu Dhabi we will have finalised a deal before then, or at that point.
‘I’m very, very hopeful the team will be in Abu Dhabi. We are making arrangements to go to Abu Dhabi as we speak.’
Caterham under the name 1Malaysia Racing Team have also been included in the provisional 2015 F1 entry list.
As has the Marussia team, however they appear to be switching guises to become Manor F1 Team, subject to confirmation from the FIA and FOM.
