Formula One and Michael Schumacher fans held a vigil outside Grenoble hospital over the weekend.

Michael Schumacher remains in a critical but stable condition following his two operations since he suffered a severe head injury skiing on Sunday 29th December 2013.

The seven-time Formula One World Champion has remained in an induced coma since arriving to the French hospital in Grenoble.

The hospital had held press conferences on both Monday and Tuesday following the accident, but on Wednesday announced that they would only hold another press conference if there was significant news to report.

Doctors at Grenoble have confirmed that they have performed two operations on Schumacher, the first was to ease the pressure on his brain, with the second procedure removing a large hematoma from the left-hand side of Schumacher’s brain.

The German turned 45 on Friday.
