The Maranello based team who have been busy beavering away setting up new facilities including offices and workshops, stopped short of announcing an exact date, but logistics mean it can pretty much narrowed down to either February 2nd or 3rd.

That’s because after the launch in Maranello the will then go straight to Jerez for the start of the winter testing programme on February 5th.

The teams will then move to Barcelona for two test sessions at the end of the month, the first between the 19th and 22nd, with the final test taking place on February 28 and running through till March 3rd.

McLaren, Force India and Sauber have also announced their launch dates, while there are reports that Red Bull may not be ready in time for the first winter test session.
