At the start of the 2016 Formula One World Championship, Ferrari were aiming to knock Mercedes off the top of the podium.

Not only were the Italian side aiming for regular race victories, but Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were hopeful of another shot at the Formula One drivers title.

For various reasons, Mercedes dominance has continued and Ferrari are yet to win in 2016.

Ferrari however have not been the best of the rest on the grid, with Red Bull Racing currently sitting second in the Formula One constructors championship.

That place is now the aim of Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene, with hopes firmly placed on new upgrades to the 2016 package.

‘We have six races now to go and if we want to be second in constructors’ of course we need to improve, that is normal, This is what we are going to do.’ Arrivabene told motorsport.com.

Four-time Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel said following the Singapore Grand Prix: ‘I think we believe in ourselves. For sure we are not entirely where we want to be in terms of raw pace, sometimes better or sometimes worse…

‘…we have confidence. There are some bits coming still. We are here to fight and that is what we are going to do.’
