Force India drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez are hopeful ahead of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.

Nico Hulkenberg has so far shown consistent performances for Force India this season.

The German driver has finished all nine rounds of the championship in the points this season with with four fifth place finishes coming in Malaysia, Bahrain, Monaco and Canada.

Hulkenberg believes that Pirelli’s tyre selection for Germany of the two softest compounds will also aid Force India this weekend, who will show their strength powered by the impressive Mercedes power-unit.

?Even on tracks where we have been struggling slightly, we have managed to score points,? Hulkenberg told Sky Sports.

?For example, in Silverstone the car balance was not ideal, but we still came away with four points.

?I?m feeling more positive about our performance in Germany, especially with the return of the soft and supersoft tyres.?

Force India team-mate Sergio Perez hasn’t shown the consistency of his team-mate, but has enjoyed a podium finish Bahrain which is Force India’s best result so far this season.

He believes the in-season test last week also showed grounds for confidence.

He added: ?We also tested new aero parts on the car [during the Silverstone test] and the team will look at the data to decide whether we use them in Germany.

?I believe Hockenheim will be a very different situation; it’s a track that should suit our car better and we should be in a much stronger position.’
