Interested in purchasing a Formula One team? Well you best be quick.

The Spanish investment company Thesan Capital who purchased the HRT team 16 months ago have put the team up for sale.

The team recently moved to new headquarters in Madrid, which was supposedly a big step for the team, although on track improvements have been minimal thus far.

If the team is sold, it will be the fourth change in ownership since the team [originally named Hispania] joined Formula One in 2010.

So interested in taking on the team which has been modelled as Spain’s national team in Formula One and boast the driver qualities of Spain’s Pedro de la Rosa and India’s Narain Karthikeyan? Well there’s no time to waste as Thesan Capital have already held talks over the possible sale.

‘The current owners of HRT Formula 1 Team, TC II S.a.rl., would like to confirm that they are currently in talks with a number of groups interested in buying the team,’ a team statement as quoted by Sky Sports.

‘HRT Formula 1 Team’s current management hopes to conclude the sale in the upcoming weeks and, with it, enable the team to continue progressing and become a reference in modern-day Formula 1 after the important achievements already accomplished in this 2012 season.

‘According to the HRT Formula 1 Team management, ‘we believe the moment to let new investors come through for HRT Formula 1 Team has arrived. We’re very proud of the work done by the entire team and of the excellent sporting evolution achieved but the time has come for the team to continue growing with new financial backing.
