For someone considered by many as one of the best of all time, Lewis Hamilton is not short of critics.

The British driver has spent 2017 breaking record after record en route to claiming his fourth Formula One World Championship.

He is considered by many as one of the quickest racers in the history of the sport and certainly has to be considered as one of the greatest of all time alongside the likes of Michael Schumacher, Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost, Jim Clark and Aryton Senna.

But one of the weaknesses in Lewis Hamilton’s career has been a lack of consistency.

When the pressure is off, so is his form.

Following his 2015 title win, Hamilton failed to win a single race for the remainder of the year. Some believe this handed the momentum over to team-mate Nico Rosberg who ran with it into 2016 and in the end pipped Hamilton to that championship.

This season, once again Hamilton has failed to win following clinching the title.

But Hamilton himself is not concerned.

‘I have zero concerns, It’s clear that something happens after you win the championship. he told Sky Sports.

‘All l can say is that the week after l won the championship I partied a lot. I celebrated because that’s what you do. That definitely wasn’t the case before the other races.’

‘Sleep and energy has definitely been different on these last couple of races. I tried to approach them the same but if you don’t prepare the same?

‘I’m not worried. Next year I will go back to how it was in the second half of the season.’
