In the wake of rivalries renewed between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, which is a long-term rivalry dating back to their karting days; Hamilton did little to change the view that they ‘weren’t friends’.
Actually following the race in Monaco Hamilton told Sky F1 that the two ‘weren’t friends, just colleagues’.

‘Today we spoke we’re cool, still friends #noproblem.’
Driver rivalries are nothing new in F1, tensions run high but making sure that these don’t bubble out of control is the main thing and it would appear that this has now been nipped in the bud with Hamilton’s frustration seemingly eased as ‘a night’s sleep’ as Mercedes’ non-executive chairman Niki Lauda had predicted would be the case.
