Two members of McLaren staff have been killed following an accident close to the Formula One team’s factory.
The unnamed members of staff were in a Subaru Impreza when it collided with a Ford Transit van on the A320.
It has been reported that the duo worked at the McLaren Production Centre, which is based next door to the team’s Formula One factory with the pair employed in the sports car division.
‘We have been informed that we have sadly lost two hard working and extremely well-liked employees. Chief executive officer of McLaren Automotive Mike Flewitt told the media.
‘They will be sorely missed by their friends and colleagues and our heartfelt condolences go out to their families.’
