The FIA’s World Motorsport Council is meeting in Beijing today to discuss the draft Formula One 2015 calendar.
It is expected that the FIA will announce a 20-race-season for 2015, with Formula One returning to Mexico for the first time since 1992.
?It is only one more than this year so it is manageable I think,? 1996 Formula One World Champion Damon Hill told Sky Sports. However according to a leaked version of the calendar, there would appear that there is no room for either India to return to Formula One or for the second race in America with the proposed track in New Jersey.
The Indian Grand Prix was dropped in 2013, but was said to be a temporary measure, with an imminent return expected.
Whilst Formula One has been holding talks with New Jersey for a number of years regarding a street race, but neither appear set for 2015.
With the exception of Mexico slotting in somewhere around the race in Texas in October, the calendar could look very similar to the 2014 version.
Beginning in Australia in March 2015 and once again ending in Abu Dhabi at the end of November 2015.
The Italian Grand Prix in Monza is also included following speculation that Formula One could drop the historical event.
