Formula One teams have remained in Austria to complete some in-season testing at the Red Bull Ring.

Nine teams took part in the test with Manor Marussia opting out.

Max Verstappen for Toro Rosso and Romain Grosjean for Lotus were the only racing drivers to take part in the test with the other teams opting to use the test and reserve drivers.

For Mercedes, Pascal Wehrlein stepped into the car to complete 67 laps of the rain affected session. He set the fastest time of the day with a 1minute 11.005s lap.

?I got to try the slicks, intermediates and wets, so it was good from my perspective to be able to compare the tyres and get some experience in all conditions – even if it wasn’t ideal for the test programme.? Wehrlein told formula1.com

Esteban Ocon for Force India was second quickest, just 0.187seconds off the pace following his 76 laps.

Max Verstappen rounded off the top three with a time 0.323seconds off Wehrlein after 97 laps.

Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren all completed a lot of mileage during the test with Antonio Fuoco completing 71 laps for Ferrari, Pierre Gasly completing 80 laps for Red Bull and Stoffel Vandoorne completing 76 laps for McLaren.
