23-year-old GP3 driver Tatiana Calderon will act as Sauber?s development driver for the 2017 season.

She will continue to race in GP3 during the 2017 season.

Last season she completed 18 rounds for Arden, with a best finish of tenth [twice].

She has also competed in European Formula 3, British Formula 3 and Spanish Formula 3.

Her best finish in European Formula 3 was 5th, in 2014 in Spain.

‘We are very pleased to welcome Tatiana on board to the Sauber family,’ Sauber team principal Monisha Kaltenborn told motorsport.com.

‘We have the opportunities and facilities to provide Tatiana a professional platform on which she can further develop her knowledge and skills in racing. I am convinced that we can provide her lots of in-depth motorsport know-how for her future career in racing.’
