Disappointing news regarding Michael Schumacher broke over the weekend.

The former seven-time Formula One World Champion suffered a severe head injuries skiing on Sunday 29th December 2013.

The German has undergone two operations , the first was to ease the pressure on his brain, with the second procedure removing a large haematoma from the left-hand side of Schumacher’s brain.

He also spent a large period in a coma.

Updates regarding his condition have always been sparse, leading unfortunately to unfounded reports from unreliable sources as the German’s fans are desperate to hear any news regarding their hero.

One small update has emerged from former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo who has told the media: ‘I have news and unfortunately it is not good,’

However he failed to further elaborate.

British newspaper the Express however have reported: ‘the medical team of 15 experts who care for him around the clock remain optimistic of a breakthrough.’

It is believed that Schumacher remains immobile and unable to speak.
