The doctors at Grenoble hospital have said this morning that Michael Schumacher has showed slight improvement over the past 24 hours.
The 44-year-old German fell whilst skiing off piste in the French Alps with family members and friends on Sunday morning, the German whilst protected by his helmet, suffered a head injury and was taken to a near-by hospital in Meribel, France.
Initial reports appeared to suggest that the injuries sustained were not life threatening, however his condition appeared to worsen on Sunday night, with reports later confirmed that he was in an induced coma and had undergone an operation.
The seven-time Formula One World Champion underwent a second operation on his head on Monday night after a brain scan had showed an improvement.
That operation appears to have been a success and he has shown an improvement over the past day.
That said the doctors have been clear to not give any future prognosis, he remains in a critical condition in an artificial coma with his body temperature regulated with the situation evolving on an hourly basis.
