Adrian Sutil has had a seat fitting for Force India, which would seem to indicate that he could be in line for a Formula One test in Barcelona.

Formula One’s winter testing season moves on next week to the Circuit de Catalunya.

Force India are the only team yet to confirm their drive line-up for the 2013 season with Paul Di Resta not knowing who his team-mate will be following the departure of Nico Hulkenburg to Sauber.

Since the end of last season reserve driver Jules Bianchi and former driver Adrian Sutil have been heavily linked with the second seat.

30-year-old German was not confirmed for the test session at Barcelona, but a spokesman refused to rule out the possibility.

‘Adrian has had a seat fitting with the team this week, At this stage, the test driving schedule for the Barcelona test is not finalised but there is a possibility Adrian could be involved.’ a Force India spokesperson told Autosport Magazine.

‘The driving schedule will be communicated on Monday next week.’

Just over twelve months ago Force India dropped Adrian Sutil for Nico Hulkenberg ahead of the upcoming 2012 Formula One World Championship after Sutil had previous been with the team since 2006.

The move made sense at the time, Hulkenburg was an upcoming young driver who had been impressing everyone, whilst Sutil was grabbing more headlines off the track than on it after he attacked Lotus team co-owner Eric Lux with a champagne glass during a fight in a Shanghai nightclub following the 2011 Chinese Grand Prix.

The German driver was later found guilty of bodily harm and was given an 18-month suspended sentence and fined 200,000 euros.
