Lewis Hamilton has conceded that the 2016 Formula One World Championship battle is looking good for Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.

Three-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has been up against it throughout 2016.

The British driver has experienced a lot of technical issues this season, far more than that of his team-mate, with the latest issue arising during the race in Baku.

Hamilton was already up against it in the race, having dominated the practice sessions, Hamilton made multiple mistakes in the final round of qualifying and ended up having to start the race from 10th.

A recovery drive got him back up to 5th, but a troublesome engine setting left Hamilton without a chance of battling for the podium as he was too busy playing around with switches, with the team unable to guide him due to radio restrictions.

‘I am definitely not feeling confident for the future, but I have a lot of races ahead, It’s looking like a good year for Nico, but I never give up.’ he told the BBC.

Hamilton had cut Rosberg’s title lead down from 43 points to 9 with back-to-back wins in Monaco and Canada, but following Baku the lead expanded once again to 24.

‘I am just glad I got some points and am hoping from now on I will have some better races, But I have been hoping that for some time and still have these engine problems here and there so we have work to do.’
