After all the negative headlines for Pirelli in the aftermath of the British Grand Prix, the success of Germany was that there was no talk of Pirelli this time around.
The Italian tyre manufacturer made quick and essential changes to the tyre’s ahead of the German Grand Prix and it appeared to do the trick with no tyre failures throughout the weekend.
Now of course, Pirelli themselves blamed the farcical scenes at Silverstone to a whole host of reasons, including the sharp curbs of the track and the high speed corner.
Those same track characteristics were not replicated in Germany, whilst new guidelines in regards to tyre mounting and pressure also appeared to limit the chances of a repeat.
Pirelli of course aim to develop a brand new tyre for next race in Hungary.
