The first day of winter testing began in Jerez on Tuesday, with Red Bull Racing struggling to get ready.
Whilst Championship rivals Mercedes and Ferrari enjoyed decent periods of track time, Red Bull managed just one single solidarity installation lap all day.
That said, it was one more lap than McLaren managed, whilst it wasn’t a faultless day for Mercedes and Ferrari either.
Lewis Hamilton suffered a front wing failure which ended with his Mercedes in the wall, while Kimi Raikkonen’s Ferrari initially lasted half a lap before it returned to the pits on the back of a lorry.
Testing continues today as the teams hope to learn more about their brand new cars and engines ahead of the new season.
