Sochi is currently enjoying the Winter Olympics, but once the ski’s and bob sleigh’s leave town, they will soon be preparing for Formula One’s arrival.
Sochi is Russia’s largest resort, with a population of around 400,000 on the coast of the Black Sea.
An awful lot of development has been going on in the region, with the Winter Olympics currently being hosted by Russia and the Football World Cup coming to the region in 2018.
The Formula One track has received $200 million worth of funding after they secured a contract to host a Formula One race every year between 2014 and 2020.
A 3.7-mile circuit layout of the track is being prepared for their first race in October.
