After BBC opted to dump Formula One, Channel 4 have picked up the terrestrial rights for F1 in the UK.
There will be at least one familiar face on their coverage as former McLaren driver and BBC commentator David Coulthard has made the jump.
But he will not be followed by Suzi Perry who has been a long standing employee of the BBC.
Perry has presented the BBC’s MotoGP broadcasts from 2003 until 2009 and took over Formula One in 2013.
What she will be doing in the future is unknown, but she has confirmed on Twitter that it will neither include F1 on channel 4 or the BBC’s Top Gear show.
One rather left field suggestion for who will anchor the programme is former X Factor USA and T4 presenter Steve Jones, with the channel perhaps looking at a fresh approach, much like the BBC took when they originally signed up Jake Humphrey.
Channel 4 will show 10 live race weekends across the season with the other 11 Grand Prix weekends covered by highlights programmes.
Sky Sports F1 will continue to be the only place where every practice session, qualifying and race will be shown live and in full.
