The 2016 Formula One World Championship is all set for the curtain raiser in Australia.

In the UK, television audiences are bracing themselves for what the switch from BBC to Channel 4 will bring. The new channel insists they want to make their coverage ‘cool’, but will that spoil the programme for the purists?

If the action on track delivers, the programming content off it will be irrelevant.

Have Ferrari closed the gap to Mercedes? Will Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen be genuine contenders for regular race wins and even the championship? Or will the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have a ding-dong inter-team battle once again?
