McLaren Honda will continue to add new upgrades to their car throughout the entire 2015 Formula One World Championship.

Teams usually when they know they are not in contention to fight for regular Grand Prix victories or titles often tune down their development to concentrate on the following season.

This has been a tactic used by both Mercedes and Ferrari in recent times and it has worked out well for them.

But for McLaren Honda, they have declared that they will be constantly bringing updates to the team right up to the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button signed up to the new McLaren project with clear optimism, the return of Honda to Formula One, one of the most attractive propositions on the grid for anyone wanting to take the challenge to Mercedes and Ferrari.

But it has been a slow progress, one which has seen them at the back of the grid or struggling to finish races.

A major update is expected for the Spanish Grand Prix, one that should see McLaren take a significant step forward.

And that development will continue through the remainder of the season.

?The 2016 regulations aren?t significantly changing ? and we?re not going through the process of introducing a new engine, as we?ve done for the last two years, so we?ll keep developing, A lot of what we learn at the track this year will naturally evolve into next year?s car.? McLaren engineering chiefs Matt Morris told McLaren?s website.

Former Red Bull Racing man and now McLaren Chief engineer Peter Prodromou added: ?Next year?s car will be an evolution of this year?s, so we need to keep developing it right until the final race.?
